Kathleen,

I have been tracing my side of Conboy clan - I stumbled onto this thread and can claim relation; My father was George Thomas Conboy Jr., son of George Sr. and Flora Conboy. There were three sons by George Sr. and Flora; George Jr. (deceased 1998), Robert (Bobby) and Luke - George had three sons and Bobby and Luke each have two sons and a daughter. My mother JoAnn (Brady) remembers the store on Amherst and having drinks there with Annie after my mother and father's wedding. Thank you for being able to fill in some of the blanks in my lineage and providing a county name to continue my search (and to Susan for the initial inquiry)!

I lso believe that this would make us second cousins, correct?

Sincerely,
Kevin Conboy

Surnames: Conboy Kelley
Hello
Luke Conboy and Annie Kelley were my great-great-grandparents. Luke Conboy, Jr. was my great-grandfather and Dorothy (Conboy) Larner of MA is my grandmother. My grandmother shared with me that Annie Kelley emigrated to the United States alone in order to avoid an arranged marriage. From what my grandmother remembers, Luke and Annie had a very happy marriage and enjoyed entertaining. I've heard bits and pieces about some of the other people you mention and wanted to thank you for putting it together in this way.
I hope your part of the family is happy and healty!
A.
