Looking for Jane Cloutier{clukie]who lived
in Prairie du Chien, Wi. mid 1800's. May have lived in Minnesota in later years.

Hi...I`m researching the surname "CLUCKIE"
My G-Grandmothers maiden name.....
from Scotland,then back to Ireland.
Their are several variants,one beig the suggestion that the name was indeed french..
possibly "CLOQUET" translate...little bell
any replies most welcome.....

I am trying to find any relations of Euphemia Cluckie/Clockie who married John Maitland Blair McCracken. She was born in Stoneykirk Wigtownshire in 1818. I would be grateful for any information.

i've just found your post and have info on this family from the stoneykirk MI book

In memory of John MC Cracken who died 13th oct.1897,aged 81.Also his son John died 16th feby.1860 aged 17.And Euphemia Cluckie his wife who died 15th April 1900 aged 84.
