Dew Anna,
What fun to hear of the LINCOLN connection and Samuel CHASE connections. My grandmother was Myrtle Bradford CHASE,b. Brockton, MA. Gr gr-father Samuel Frye CHASE III may have worked in Brockton as a Pharmacist. Brocton was formed from Bridgewater, MA so some references to the family show them in Bridgewater. Does your family have connections to Massachusetts? I am also tracking down the Bradford line as family lore has us descended from Gov. Wm. Bradford of Plymouth colony.

I would be interested the geneology of Walter Chase UEL. I been tracking back my chase who came from Canada West to Michigan in the 1850's. I am looking for a record of a William Chase, born in about 1799. His son William was born in 1841.
Walter Chase, listed above, seems to be one of the first Chases in Ontario.

Hello, do you have a file number or name on the Walter Chase info, you saw at the LDS Family Ctr. We have an LDS library in town here, and if I have the info, I can have a copy sent to the one near me.
I'm interested in finding out about Walter Chase. According to the family Bible, my x3 Great grandmother was Susanah Chase, b. March 7, 1803, in Montreal, Canada of English descent. A cousin thinks Walter Chase (?sr) may be her father and Mary/Polly and Charlotte her sisters. I recently contacted another Chase/Brooks family member who got some of her info from a book documenting several Vt. families moving together to Canada. Most of these families stayed together moving back to the states through Michigan, Ill, and Wis. Eventually, many of them settled together in Iowa and Mich.
Susanah Chase married Jeremiah Cramer, who was from New Jersey, 12 Oct 1821, in Canada. Their first 7 children where born in Canada, we're not sure where.
Thanks for any info or help you can give me.
Judi
