Does anyone have a complete tree of this line? My great grandfather says his ancestor, Abraham Cann (Brother: Charles) came to the colonies from Bristol. But I can't find anything about their parents.
Any help would be appreciated.

From what I understand, Sir Robert Cann owned a shipping line from Bristol, England to Boston, Massachusetts. At least one of his sons, John Cann, came to Boston and married a Boston woman. Perhaps other members of the Cann family came to America on the shipping line.

Hello Kenneth, we have not corresponded for awhile. Did you ever order the Cann Family histories I told you about?

1.The Paternal Record of Ida May Cann Goode from Reverand John Cann of England, Born 1595
to the Present Generation 1927.

2.John Cann of Deleware 1645-1694, by William Ferris Cann Eliason 1964.

I order copies through the Family History Center here in Anchorage. It came on microfilm and cost $3.50 to order, when it arrived I made copies from the film. I think there are approx. 1000 pages between the to. They both provide great information.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Is there any information you might have on
these two GGmmp Grandparents @1820s +? They
were parents of our Gmm Grandfather DUNCAN
BAIRD, and so far I have found no information
on any of them, beyond our family BIBLE records.

DUNCAN b 10/30/1987 d 6/05/1936 and married
LUDIA CRITTENDON 10/06/1878. She was born
@1865 and died in 1963. They reared a family
of eleven in Arkadelphia, ARK and are both
buried there.

If you have any information you would be
willing to share, my e-mail address is jmmfn1@GTE.NET.

Thank you.

I have now posted my family tree on Ancestry.com and have included Alberta Cann, my great grandmother and her father Rev. Thomas McMullen Cann.

I tried to reach you by email, but it was returned undelivered.

I would like to order the Cann family information from you if that is possible.

I can not believe that I have not looked at the message boards since May. My e-mail address is still the same, lizzbarr@arctic.net. I am not sure why it did not work for you.

I can make copies of what I have at Kinko's. What is your mailing address?

I am descended from Frederick Kastor and Elizabeth Cann of Hardin Co., KY. I have information on their line I am willing to share and was wondering if you have information on the Cann family before Elizabeth who was a 4th gr grandmother of mine.

I lived in Anchorage 1971/75 and 1978/82 when in the Air Force.

Elizabeth's brother, John A. Cann is my 4th gr. grandfather.

Yes, I do have information on the Cann family back to the 1500's and from our William Cann (3/13/1754-11/7/1839), Elizabeth's father forward.

Most of my research has been through the National Archives and the Family History Center, both here in Anchorage, family members (old and new), plus information that I had on hand. I ordered alot of information (on microfilm) through the FHC. I have met over the internet family members and traded photo's and family information. I have quite a collection of family photo's.

I have input all my information into Family Tree Maker. What do you use? I would be glad to share information with you.

I was born and raised here in Anchorage. My parents drove up from Arkansas in 1956 and we're still here. We are the only Cann's that ventured this far and stayed. I have found the Cann name a couple of times here in Alaska history, but I have not researched to see if they were connected to us.

Look forward to hearing from you and sharing with you.

You can email me at lizzbarr@alaska.com.

Do you have the descendancy of Sir Robert Cann (1624 - 1685) until the Baronetcy went extinct? I have found a statement that indicates that the title and estates passed from the builder of Stoke Bishop Manor House to his great grandson, another Sir Robert Cann. This would seem to indicate that the inheritance passed from Sir Robert Cann to Sir William Cann to UNKNOWN Cann to Sir Robert Cann. The last Sir Robert Cann died without issue in 1765 and the estates (not the title) passed to his nephew Robert Cann Jeffries. Any information would be helpful.
