My dad's name was Alfred Bunker. His grandfather was Richard Bunker and was born in Westoning, England. Richard's youngest son was Alfred Bunker, born 1849 in Dartford, England. The family migrated to New Zealand in 1852 and one of Alfred's sons was my father, Alfred. He too married twice and ended up in Ashfield and then Caringbah, NSW. I would be more than interested in seeing if there is a connection. We have been able to trace our Bunker line back to 1470 to a Roger and Agnes Bunker.
Hope to hear soon, Rees and Kerry Bunker

I did not know about an Alfred Bunker who migrated to NZ that could trace his ancestry to Roger. I would be very interested in this ancestry. I am the historian for the Bunker Family Assn. and would love to know about this NZ line. Also, I have a database with over 30,000 Bunkers worldwide and lots of other information. Please contact me at betterichs@live.com so we can exchange information. Thanks. Bette Bunker Richards

Hi Lynette: Are you descended from George Thomas Bunker and Bridget Hughes? If so, I have your ancestry back to Devon, England with the earliest ancestor known being Thomas Bunker (born about 1595) and Alice Pertie. I would really like to know more about your parents and family. Please contact me at betterichs@live.com and I will be happy to share all the information I have with you. Bette Bunker Richards, historian Bunker Family Assn.

Yvonne: I am sorry you cannot read my email messages. George James was the son of Thomas James and Mara Jane Wright and descended from Roger of Tingrith through Francis and Tabitha Davey. We are unable to find the name of his first wife and it seems that all of the children except Arthur William were hers. George married Elizabeth Ann Standbra in Bethnal Green, Middlesex on 9 Nov 1879. For George's children we have George J. b. 1866 who married Henrietta Holcombe Oct 1884 in Hempstead, and Lillian b. 1873 who married Alexander Gearing as the only ones who married. We have descendants only from George and Henrietta Holcombe and I believe that you have them. Please let me know if you learn anything new.

Hi Bette, I have been patiently trying to unscamble your email, they have come through ok before so I dont know why this one is scrambled, I have done some of it. That was interesting about George J W 1887/8 going to USA no wonder I could not find him here after 1891. I will send you an email with the other details.
Regards Yvonne
