My direct ancestor in this line was Fanny/Fannie Britton b. 1792 in New York m. William Hannan. Her sister Mary Britton b. 1794 in New York m. David Cady. These families are both in Canton, Michigan at the time of the 1850 census. There is also a Peter Britton b. 1799 in New York m. Cornelia (surname unknown) living in Canton, Michigan in 1850. I am trying to determine whether Peter is a brother of Fanny and Mary. Thanks for any information.
