Peter Britton in Canton, Wayne Co., Michigan 1840 Census

Does anyone know anything about this family? I suspect this Peter Britton may be a brother or other close relative of my ancestor Fannie Britton who married William Hannan. William and Fannie came to Michigan via the Erie Canal and were also in Canton, Wayne Co. at the time of the 1840 U.S. census.

Since my Brittons migrated to MI from NY around 1840, maybe there's some connection.
