looking for information on hal spencer briggs jr. , who lived in los angeles in late 1960's and 1970's.

I'm sorry that I don't have any information for you but thought maybe you might could use a laugh! How funny to see the name when my maiden name is Briggs and my first father in law's name is Hal Spencer! Just the combination of seeing the name together caught my eye and I had to laugh since my father (Briggs) and the Hal Spencer I know are like day and night! Hope you don't mind receiving such a message. I am sorry I have no info for you since I too am searching for my Briggs family info .......Both my Spencer and Briggs connections are in central Texas. Just to confirm, the Hal I am looking for lived in Los Angeles in the 1960's and was involved in the Mormon Church in the Hollywood Ward. He married and moved back east to Alabama, I think. He was very involved in my youth...scout leader and overall friend. I stay in touch with several friends of Hal, and all of us lost track of him some time ago. So , if this is the right person, let me know. I have lots of people that would be very interested in any information. I am very sorry to hear that he has passed away. I have been looking for him for quite awhile. Thank you.

This is he. He was my big brother and my hero. He was married and moved to Georgia. He died of heart failure on 18 July 1998. He left his wife and 4 children and few grandchildren as well. Sorry for bragging, but he was a good man and a good Scout leader as well. I am very sorry to report his passing to you. Thank you for your reply. I hope this will help you in some way. He was my brother, if we're talking about the same Hal!
Sadly, he died in 1997. I miss him to this day, and always will. He was the BEST big brother anyone could have! If you want any more information about him, or the family, please let me know!

My name is Hal Spencer Briggs III

Hal Spencer Briggs Jr. is my father.
He passed away in Kennesaw, Georgia July 1997

I don't believe there is enough space on this site to tell his story, how much he has done for many people and for his family. I do have allot of his things, his Navy patches and his eagle scout medal, pictures of him and my mother when he was with us her in Georgia.

I know this post is kinda old but I found it and thought I would add to what a greatly missed man you are looking for.
If you ever wanted to visit his grave just send me an email and I can direct you to where he is at rest.
