My father Floyd Dunbar was born Floyd Songer. His mother had an affair with a Henry Brenneman before she was married to Irv Songer. My father knew him as Uncle Henry while he was a child. Later Arta (Floyd's mother) had an affair with Arthur (Art) Dunbar and they moved out to California.

While Floyd was in high school he received notice that Henry died and that he was entitled to some inheritance. Art would not let Arta admit publicly that she had the affair (even though he still had a wife and family back east)and the inheritance and the knowledge of his biological father disappeared. Supposedly Arta's Aunt Barbara Long kept in touch with him until he died.

What do I know about him.
1. He was a diver for the Corp of Engineers.
2. He was injured (got the bends) while looking for a drown girl in Erie.
3. He died around 1953.
4. He lived in the Penn.. Ohio area.
