The pdf of the Cober book has been updated with an introduction that provides some early history of the area with both information and speculation about the early days of this family. If you would like a copy, email your Brant lineage as far back as you have it documented. If we determine that you are a descendant of John Brandt Sr of Ligonier, we will send you a free copy.

For those descendant from other Brant families, we urge you to continue your search, but the materials we have would only divert you from that effort by creating false leads.

My Great-Grandfather was Melvin Leo Brant (Wiley E., Peter J Jr., Peter J., Conrad, John Brandt). My grandma has a copy of the Cober book, but it is rather old. I would love any updates the pdf. would include.
