I am researching my great grandmother's line. Marie-Exelia Blouin (1878-1959; Quebec, Canada>Vermont, USA) was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Blouin & Josephine Caron. She was the grand daughter of Jean Baptiste Blouin & Emilie Marceau (married 1843, Quebec, Canada). She was the great grand daughter of Jean Francois Blouin & Marguerite Turcotte. Marie-Exelia Blouin married Charles Joseph Goulette (son of Marc Goulette/Goulet & Marie Perpetue Tanguay) in 1895, Quebec, Canada. Marie-Exelia & Charles Joseph had 15 children, the first 7 were born in Quebec, Canada and the following 8 were born in Vermont, USA.. I am looking for additional info on my great grandmother's line. I want to discover if she had siblings, and if so I'd like to get their data. I need dates and places of her parents' births (grandparents and great grandparents also). I have the Goulette/Goulet line back to France (1580) and would like to do the same with Blouin. My family was told Blouin or Goulet/Goulette had Canadian Indian in this line somewhere, I have not found it. Looking for anyone to share with.

My mother was born in Winooski, Vermont - January 9, 1918. Her mother's maiden name was Caron - father Delorge. Her mother was French Canadian. She also thinks there is indian heritage in her background.

My mother was the youngest of either 5 or 6 siblings - Frank, Bill, Fred, Cora, Marjorie - my mother - 1918. When my mother was born her parents were both ill - her mother had breast cancer. Her mother's sister, Clara, moved away with my mother and brought her up from age 3 months. She never told my mother about her biological family until one day my mother came home from school to find her 'mother' (Aunt) sitting with a letter and crying. She then told my mother that her biological mother had just died.

My mother doesn't know the first name of either her mother or father. She met all but one of her siblings in the 1950's and 1960's. I think all but my mother are now deceased.

I know these posts are several years old and don't know if anyone is still looking at this, but I would love to find out anything about our background that might be available.

Thanks to all.
Judy Campbell
