Looking for information on Francois Xavier Blouin b. 1824 in Trois Riv. Son of Jean Blouin and Sophie Giroux. He married Marguerite Duquette in Montreal in 1844. They had two children in Trois Riv., Jean in 1847 and Louis in 1849. Jean and Louis joined the Union Army in 1864 and fought in the Civil War. Does anybody know what happened to Francois and Marguerite? Where and when they died? Did they have more children? I think they lived in Montreal but am not sure. My great grandfather was Andre Blouin, his death certificate lists his father as Francios X Blouin born in St. Jean De L Isle Canada it lists his mother as Florence Cotton born in Fox River Gaspe Canada. Andre Married Victoria Turgeon. Does any of this match with anything you have?

My maiden name was Marilyn Blouin, and I have 4 other sisters, my father name was Raymond Joseph Blouin, and my mother who is still living is Madeline Elma Francoeur. I was also born in Gaspe, Quebec. My father was born in Fox River Quebec. He came from a lg family. I will ask my mother about what his parents names were. I know that my father said that he had roots from Ireland.
