I am looking for information regarding my family from Kuty. My grandfather born 1875-1880 in Kuty was Hirsch (Herman)Bein who immigrated to Leipzig,Germany about 1900. He had three sisters. Frieda and Babische are believed to have died during WWII in Kuty. Another sister, Charne, came to the US in the early 1900's, lived in NYC and married into the Hart family.

My grandmother Julianna Bein (nee Klein) was born in Mateszalka, Hungary which apparently had several Klein Families. She was one of eight siblings and I am not aware of any adoptions of a Zalli. The eldest brother was Mano, also a sister Zelma. Unfortunately I cannot recall the name of Julianna's father, but I do know that they were Innkeepers.
Julianna married David Bein who was from the Transylvanian regions of Hungary.
Julie Bein Stainmagen

I have e-mailed Ethel but haven't heard from her yet. Sheri gave me her e-mail address. I guess most of the Family lives in Ne. that is where Dad, Vashti, Grandmother Flossie A. Jenny went & got me info about (GreatGrandParents) John & Kate ? Riley to check on their graves for me & sent me some info on them. They are buried found papers at Seward, Ne. Cemerty in Seward, Ne. This is great to know family all deceased in my family except my Brother Gary & my kids that I have had. I am married also last name Borst. Will I hope to hear from you again real soon & please tell all hi.
I am Vernon that had the reunion in 1981. We had 111 people
at least related to Bein's. I no longer live on the farm but have
retired to Marshalltown. We do have the geneology for Bein's
that go back to 1691 in Plohn, Holestein. My wife and I visited the birth place of Gustav Ferdinand 1829, Liutjenburg.
Gustav was the Bein that came to the USA and finally settled in the Davenport, Iowa area. He had 10 children and there were representitives of 8 of those children at the reunion.
Do not know anything about religion but our branch is Protestant. Sincerely Vernon

My ggm Zalli Schwartz (Klein) was from Mateszalka. As far as I know she was adopted by the Klein family, she would have been born around 1870. Zalli married Herman, later moving to Nyirmada, had Joseph,Bernard, Sari, Regina, Irene, Pauline, Freida. Regina married one of her Klein uncles (adopted- so I guess it was OK), they had a son Andras and lived in Satoraljaujhely...all three perished in the Holocaust. As did, Herman, Freida and Joseph.Zalli died pre-WWII.
Before WWII, Pauline moved to Philadelphia and married Abe Becker, Sari (my Gm) moved to Canada and married Jeno Hermann, Irene moved to Phili and married ?? Mayer, followed by Bernard after surviving the Holocaust.
I do not know much more about my ggm Klein's family, just wondering if there is a connection.

I have been trying to locate an ancestor of my husbands that seemed to vanish after 1855 in Wisconsin.
Jacques Antoine Bain (also spellings above and many others)was born in 1786 in Gent, Flanders, Belguim. He enlisted in the de Meuron regiment and fought in the Nepoleonic Wars until 1815 when he was discharged at the end of the war. He was in Canada and was given land and hired by Lord Selkirk to go to Manitoba in 1821 he married Justine Marchand and by 1830 they were in Gratiot Grove, Wisconsin. He had 2 sons and 7 daughters, the two boys were Anton and Augustus Antoine.
Augustus married Jane Curry and they had at least 3 children: Eliza J., Joseph , Peter
I have all of the daughters that married into the Derocher, Montagne and Bergeron
families. There was a story that he may have went back to his home land?
If any opf this informations sounds familiar PLEASE email me and I will share what I know.
It is said that this Bain family was french and Jacques wore a beret type had and the neighbors called him "the frenchman".

rkkd123@aol.com

Unfortunately, my grandfather died shortly after their marriage. She died sometime before 1910, and I have been unsuccessful in finding anything about her burial. Her family disowned her when she married.

Chester William Bein

You know, I don't think I've heard of a Chester Bein, but I need to check. My branch of the family came from Iowa, around the Davenport area, back a long time ago. What general age group/generation are we talking about? I will check my information at home, and get back to you. If I don't come up with something there, I will ask some of the other Bein relatives.

I have recently been looking up my family history. At this point I am trying to find information on my Great Grandfather Ernest C. Bein. I know he was in the army but that is about it. He lived in Cincinnati, OH. I know my ancestors came from Scotland and that my last name has been changed several times. Also, my family is related to Judge Roy Bean. He is my great, great, great, great uncle, but i couldn't even follow that up because of all the name changes. Plaese help me if you can. Please e-mail me at dbein@wilmington.edu.

Thank you

Dena
