I am looking for information about my family Beam. I have information back to the marriage of
Henry Conrad Beam married Margaret Smith in the year 1827
probably in the Lansing Michagan area. Their son was James Polk Beam who move to Maryland after the Civil War and settled in what is now Carroll County Maryland.
I am looking for information of the origins of Henry Conrad Beam.I have a list of children borned of Henry and Margaret Beam and a list of children of James Polk and Catherine Ann Beam

Hi Bobby:
A correction for your records: Henry Conrad Beam and Margaret Smith were married in Frederick County, Md. August 6, 1827. James Polk Beam and his brothers went to Michigan after the Civil War - George William was born there but there are no official birth records available in Lansing, Mich.(perhaps in a family Bible). The Beam brother joined their brother who was a minister in Michigan. They started a lumber business but the business failed and they moved back to Maryland. Henry and Margaret both died in Md. This will be available on CD sometime this year. Let me know if you have found anything. Thanks. JB

Bobby- Although my name is George, I go by Rob. I am a direct decendent of Henry C Beam. I have been doing some research on the family tree for some time but haven't gone much beyond Henry. One of the responders was correct that Henry and Margart were from Fredereick County, MD. Both died and are buried there. It appears they had two sons, George Peter and Samuel Z., and one daughter Mary E. Sadly, Henry was married twice. His first wife, Sarah Ann Baugher, died at age 19, in 1826, one year after they were married. Maragret was his second wife and were married in 1827. Samuel was a minister who spent some time in my home state, Michigan (Kalamazoo, Fulton).
I am currently trying to validate that information and then puruse Henry's father and grandfather, etc.
Let me know if you have any information. I'll be happy to share mine.

Hello Bobby- my name is Adam Beam ( Rob's son) and we have a family Bible that has alot of information in it as well. Some of it (the very begining) is so old that the ink is worn away of the names and dates. Like my dad was saying, Henry was married twice and had 5 children in all...this is where it gets fuzzy for us because there would be James Polk Beam, George William Beam, Samuel Z. Beam, Mary E. Beam and then our g-g-g-grnadfather George P. Beam who then Marries Barbara Jane (Guthrie) Beam....Please reply back!!! thanks- Adam

JB- where did you get all of your information at? I am wondering if you have more thani do. It seems that we may be on the same path and that would be super. My dad is George Beam, however he goes by "Rob", and we're in search of the same thing....Who's Henry Conrad's parents. I found on the internet today that Samuel Z. was a son of Conrad and Maraget. We ( dad and I ) didn't know that Henry and Margaret had more than one child (that being George P. Beam). To read that there could be more children was amazing...IF this is the correct line that we're following. PLEASE RESPOND back we would find it VERY helpful. thanks much!!- Adam
