My grandmother, Mary Ellen Baxley, was born in southern Ala, as far as I know. She is from a family of eleven children. She married a Mr. Orell Davis in the late 1800's and died approx.1918 - 1920 at a very youn age. I myself married a Padgett from Holmes county, Fla. and it would be quite extraordinary if my mother was somehow linked to the Padgetts. Be worth investigating, but I doubt it. Am in the process of getting info. on the Baxleys from a second cousin who I did not know in Milton, Fla. Sorry I can"t supply any more inormation right now. Thanks for your help, Pat

we might be linked somewhere in this line . My mother has a second or third cousin in Milton, Fla., Michael Baxley. His father and grandfather also resided in that area. I'm very curious as to where th Indian heritage came from. My mother always said it was from a great-great grandmother. can you help me? thanks, Pat

Pat, When you make that trip, please let me
know. I'll tag along if you don"t mind.
My mom and dad had seven children, all alive
but my oldest sister Margaret. Yes, I
thought that temperment had to be inherited. I got a good dose of it
and has taken me years to get under control
especially when my daughter and I go at it. HaHa
Let's keep in touch. Pat

yep

Pat, We saw my aunt Ethel today in Atmore. She was able to give some interesting info., but I need more. Said her grandfather's name was Elich Baxley and married Annie and Annie"s mother was the full-blooded "squaw." I will be connecting soon with Mike soon, but if you can share anything noteworthy. Aunt Ethel would like to know the names of her mother's bro. which would be her uncles and aunts. SDhe is 85yrs. old and as sharp as a pistol. Truly an inspiration to all. Stay Cool and Keep in Touch, Your redneck half indian cousin or something, Pat Padgett
