Thanks for the information about VALANCE Plantation. I had not heard of that one. If I cannot find it on the web I shall contact you. I am not certain of the name of the l811 plantation slave revolt, I just know it was on the Manuel Andry plantation. I do know of a plantation that belonged to Manuel
Andry which is still standing in Laplace and it's name was "Woodland". The home is in the middle of a subdivision and is in good condition. It is owned by a lady who lives there----. Would like to hear from you.

Probably not. The Andry name is a very prominent New Orleans name.

I couldn't help but reply to this post. My grandparents Robert Curtis and Lillie Mae Jackson Andry, as well as most of my family that share the Andry name live in Mobile.
