ALSIP, EDWARD K., was born in the State of
Indiana, in the year 1844, and remained there till 1855, when his parents came to Sacramento; in 1865 Mr. Alsip was clerk in a real estate office, and continued in that capacity till 1870, when he entered into partnership with A. C. Sweetser in the real estate business. Mr. Alsip married Mary A. Brown, of
Illinois, in 1868; they have three children, all girls. Mr. Alsip has been a
Director of the
Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company, and Secretary of the Union, and of the Occidental
Loan Associations. Post Office Sacramento.
