My ex grandmother in law is named Mary Alsip Monhollon. She is alive and well at age 93 and lives next to her son Larry Monhollon in New Smyrna Beach, FL. She is listed in the phone book and so is her son. I would call her son, explain your interest and see if she will speak to you. She shared with me family history about the Alsips from Corbin (who apparently owned a bunch of land and even have a street named after them). Write or call her...she is in the phone book.

I also have an Oscar, son of Samuel Alsip in my line. Samuel was the brother of my gggrandfather, Frank Alsip or the Alsip Brick Company in Illinois, etc. This Samuel was born 27 Sep 1831. This Samuel was married to Margaret Sheffield, and they divorced. I don't know what happened to him afterwards, nor anything about 2nd family.

My line goes Me>my mother>gRuth Elizabeth Alsip>ggFrank B. Alsip>gggFrancis/Frank Alsip>ggggWilliam Alsip>gggggFrancis Alsip.

gggggFrancis and family immigrated from Ireland in 1816 to Pennsylvania. I would appreciate exchanging family information. I do not think they were Irish.
