I am looking for some history, photos, etc; on all of the names & more. I am a direct decendant of Dr. John Woodson.
So far, we have traced the family back to 700 A.D. and to the present.
Anyone having info, PLEASE contact me.

Karen: I have found numerous references to Dr. John Woodson in early history books about VA. However, each notes a connection to Charlemagne and 16 surities of the Magna Carta and I have found no direct link between Dr. john and any of them. Any clues? Was hoping your search to 700 AD might include something helpful.

Dear Karen,

Realize that my posting to your query is a long shot given the dates. But am really interested in Dr. John Woodson.

I have reason to believe that he was one of my ancestors. One of his male desc., Joseph who married Elizabeth Parsons had a dau. named Agnes who married Pleasant Turner. I have compelling evidence that my gr (3x) grandmother, Nancy Turner was Pleasant and Agnes Woodson Turner's dau.

Am having a lot of trouble confirming the children of Agnes and Pleasant. Would like to know if you know where Agnes died so that I can send for a copy of her will/probate records.

Would really appreciate hearing from you. I do have a desc. report on Nancy (who married Wm. Wainwright), that I would be willing to share with you.

Look forward to hearing from you-
Mary

Wow -- 700 A.D. I'm related through Dr. John's son, John -- through one of Virginia "black" sheep, and by that I mean great-grandpa George was a bit of a rascal.
