I have two obits. that state that Lena Ruth Dement and Nancy Carol Dement Scott are buried in the Dement Family Cemetery.....but I cannot find that cemetery anywhere. It is possible that it is a PLOT but not a Family Cemetery...or it may be on private land. Lena was a resident of Damon, as well as her husband Gordon. I've looked online, but can't find any listing for a Dement Cemetery.......(I do have them on Find-A-Grave)
Lena Ruth Phillips Dement died March 16, 2005 and her daughter, Nancy Carol Dement Scott died at Hubbard, Texas, but is buried at Dement Family Cemetery on November 12, 2005. Gordon Dement died Oct 28, 2002, and I assume he was also buried at Dement Family Cemetery.
Gordon lived at 130 County Rd 264 in the 2002 Damon online Directory. Perhaps they are buried on provate land, or perhaps at one of the other cemeteries nearby in a family plot.......but I cannot find them listed in any online cemetery.
Any help would be appreciated.
I am planning to contact the Funeral Home (Garmany and Carden)in Needville. In the meantime, maybe somone who knows about this family will see this. I am not related to this family, but Nancy was my best friend.
