I am trying to determine the death and location of burial of Ross Meeske. One source on the internet states he died in 1900 in Sandy Point, Texas.

Ross (possibly William) Meeske was born approx. 1888 in Iowa. He was the son of John Fredrick Meeske.

The family was listed in Sandy Point, TX. in the 1900 census, listing Ross Meeske as age 11.

Any assistance in confirming Ross Meeske's death in Sandy Point would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Marla Gray

I checked with our database at bchm.org and there is
no Meeske listed for Sandy Point Cemetery. The cemetery
covers about 3 acres, we know that more than half the area may have graves. We have not found markers to help identify
areas we know graves are located.

Can you tell me more about your ancestor? Did he own land
in Brazoria County? This may be very useful.

Nancy H.
