Where do you want to begin? I am not related! Start with online death certificates viewable at http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start His wife was Zollie Mae (Ivey) Sawyer (30 Jul 1884 - 24 Nov 1971). His mother was Frances Udora (Laswell) Sawyer (27 Feb 1850 - 27 Nov 1920). His father was Jesse E. Sawyer(born about 1848 and died prior to 1900). View his son M. C. (Maurice) Sawyer's certificate (14 Jun 1912 - 8 Oct 1941). View his certificate (25 Feb 1884 - 4 Nov 1950). View his siblings: Albert Bernard Sawyer (14 Jun 1886 - 26 Feb 1940), Harve M. Sawyer (30 Mar 1877 - 7 May 1961), Beatrice Hatler (25 Mar 1870 - 24 Jun 1953), Ina Maude Bowmar (18 Jun 1879 - 5 Jan 1954), Maggie Coker (26 Sep 1881 - 30 Dec 1942), and Winnie Bullock (20 Dec 1888 - 8 Dec 1934). I searched in vain for an online family tree to simplify this process. Guess you'll just have to acquire some research skills, huh? Find the Las(s)well family in 1860 Limestone-Not Stated-Page 18. Find the Sawyers in 1860 Wood-Precinct 7-Page 1. In 1870, both families were in Limestone-District 48 West Texas. The newlyweds Jesse and Francis Sawyer are on page 21 while her parents and siblings are on page 140. Both families were in 1880 Bosque-Not Stated-District 9-Page 12. This appeared to be the place where they established firm roots? Need additional assistance, holler?

WOW....what can I say...thank you for the info...I'm very new to all this...I have a subscription to Ancestry . com...and have found quite a bit of info...but also find quite a bit of conflicting information. I really ran into a wall when it came to this part of the family tree. Thank you again...hopefully this will get me on the right path again...

That should give you a good start? They are clearly linked by geography and time. Believe the Sawyers and Laswells knew each other prior to their arrival in Texas? There are pedigrees viewable at family search.org on Allan Laswell (by: Jim Culver of Austin, TX) and William G. Sawyer (by: Tanya Gilliam Griffin of Brashear, TX). Both men married in Weakley County, TN.
