Carlos, Is there a mention of John Gulledge/Gullage or any other Gullage who lived around Society Hill, South Carolina?
I am also interested in the McCalls who were also there. I have tried to find these families in the 1840 Census on ancestry. com,but the census is unreadable.
I know the Gulledge/Gullage family was in the Cheraw area in 1840 because of an entry in a family Bible.
Thanks for your offer of help.

Carlos,

I would appreciate knowing whether there are references in St. David's Parish Register from Cheraw concerning the following (time period 1768-1830): David Johnson and wife Margaret, Margaret Davis daughter of Benjamin Davis Sr, (Ben Davis Sr. died about 1795 Little Pee Dee Landing)or any entries for surname Johnson, Frizzell, Cato.

Thanks so much for any help you can provide as the estate of Ben Davis Sr. was destroyed and is not extant according to the SC Archives.

John

Dear John,

Unfortunately, there are no records for Ben Davis, Margaret Davis, or David Johnson. Also, no Cato's or Frizzell's.
However, there are some Johnsons: Jacob, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hiram, Randolph, Sarah, and William. Pls. advise if you think any of these may be relevant.

kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Irene,

Yes, there is a John, Joseph and Michael Griffith.

All the records relate to their duties at the church and only list their names. The entries are from the 1760's and 1770's.

Pls. let me know if you want more information.
