I am looking for information regarding my ggg-grandmother Rebecca Emeline Thompson Muffley. She was born October 1836 in Virginia (according to census records). She married Israel Muffley November 17, 1854 in Washington Township, Westmoreland County. She died in 1909 and is buried in the Pine Run Cemetery. Any information on her parentage or her children would be appreciated. I am a descendant of her son Wesley Jacob (sometimes Jacob Wesley) Muffley

I am recently acquainted with a gggdtr of Rebecca Thompson Muffley, who has yet to find Rebecca's ancestry. She is Becky Richardson, of Virginia. Do you already know Becky?
I am not related at all, but enjoy the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of finding other's people.

I have found a couple of very compelling clues in the 1830 and 1840 census, and information on the Bedford County VA genealogy site that lead me to think Rebecca's people may be David Waddy Thompson Jr. and Sarah D. Harris of Bedford VA. Their families originated in Albemarle Co and Louisa Co. VA. Other families are Anderson, Lewis, Poindexter.

I have not yet contacted Becky with my findings, intend to do so this week.

I know some Thompsons and Muffleys in Apollo/Washington twp. I live in near-by Armstrong County and can do some digging for you.

On Thursday evening, April 22, 1909, Mrs. Rebecca Muffley, died at her home in Westmoreland County, aged 74. The deceased is survived by one son, W. J. Muffley. Interment will be Pine Run Cemetery.

Wesley's wife, Mary Catharine Stewart is the aunt of my grandfather, I have her obit and some other Muffley's if interested.
