Classification: Query
Surnames: Gensel
I found him in "The Historical & Biographical Annals of Columbia and Montour Counties, Pennsylvania", 1915, Vol. I, pg. 248
Main Township
"When this township was included in the limits of Catawissa the school children were compelled to attend the"springhouse" school in the western part of that township. About the year 1820 a school was opened by Jacob Gensel in George Flemings carding mill on Scotch run, southeast of Mainville"

Whoever he was, he is not listed as a head of household in that county in either 1820 or 1830. There are several other census records for that name, but I cannot connect them to this man. I just don't know enough.
