I have read the threads to your inquiry. I would like to know if you or anyone can give me the link between the Leonard Buck listed in Meginness's 'History of Lycoming County on pg 559 and an Israel Buck. Leonard also being a decendent of Henry Buck. Israel is my GGG grandfather and is buried next to Leonard in Sand Hill Cemetery. I think there may be a connection between Barney and Israel also but I can't find it. Israel was born in Union County(according to his civil war file) Aug 1819 but lived mostly in Montoursville. There is also another Israel that lived in Hughsville who was slightly younger but I can't make a connection there either. I'm looking for Israel's parents and siblings if anyone can help.

I found a Israel Dehass Buck (Aug 18, 1819-Sep 12 1899)Burried in Edgewood Cemetery AKA Sand Hill. Married Margaret Isabella (Aug 3 1826-Oct 22 1897). According to 1880 Census they had 2 children at the time Anna D. & Watson I. I also found they Had Sarah Jane Died Jan 10 1872 and Emma E. (Dec 24 1856-Jan 28 1858). Another place found his children Walter Edwin born 1848 and Clara born 1851. Then found that he married Margaret Cowden and Margaret Isabella D. July 24 1860.

Another Israel Buck Born 1834, 1880 Census show he was married to Anna and the had: Herbert, Waldo, Justin and Alta.

Hope this helps some.

Are you descended from Harriet Keyser? She was the daughter of Henry Keyser and Catherine Schlonaker, I believe. I have the full pension application of Henry and then Catherine for Henry's War of 1812 service. Much to my regret,I found he was not MY Henry Keyser: although he was a comtemporary and also named a son Aaron as my Henry did. However, my Henry married an Elizabeth King and they lived in Worcester Twp., Montgomery Co. for a few years. I believe MY Henry served in the war of 1812 from Berks Co. and got land warrants instead of a pension. Please let me know if you would like this pension copy-I will be happy to send to you-seems a shame just to discard it. Margaret
