KERNERSVILLE - Minnie Cook
Crews, age 77, of Kernersville, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 at
Forsyth Medical Center.
She was born May 10, 1932 in
Stokes County, to the late
Silas Edward and
Nannie Manring Cook.
Minnie retired from
Hooker Furniture after 30 plus years of service and was a former member of the
Piney Grove Rescue Squad.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Crews was preceded in death by her husband, James Crews; a son, Joey Crews; two brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Roger
Crews, Jerry
Crews and wife, Rachel, all of Kernersville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild; five brothers; and three sisters.
A Funeral
Service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville
Chapel with Dr. Pete
Kunkle and Brother Don
Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of
Memory. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville
