My ggrandfather was Calvin Haywood Parrish who was married to Mary Winfred Byrd. I wonder if this is the Doctor (Calvin) you mentioned in your enquiry? They had a son, my grandfather Eddie Lester Parrish, d.1965 who married Margaret Ethel Langdon, d.1982. They lived in Harnett County

No they are not the same. Calvin Haywood Parrish b. 1856, is the son of Troy Parrish (b. 1830) and Mary Parrish (b. Jan 1824). Yes, her madien name is Parrish and yes they are related. Dock Calvin Parrish was born June 7, 1846 to the parents of James Parrish and Elizabeth Jones. Troy Parrish and Dock Calvin Parrish were brothers.
