-Some researchers have JONATHAN as the son of Joseph and Lucinda Prescott PARKER. Other researchers have put him with the John PARKER of Edgecombe County. So far, I haven't found anything to prove or disprove either as his parents.
-In the 1880 census there was a Cindy[age35] listed with JONATHAN and CLARKEY, this could be a nickname for Lucinda or another child.
-In 1850 & 1860 this family was in Johnston County. In 1870 they were in the Mingo Township of Sampson County. And back in Johnston County in 1880, living in the Meadow Township.
-Jonathan and Clarkey were born in either Johnston County or Sampson County, (birth places stated for them on some of their childrens death certificates.)
