Researching families of DAVIS/STOKELY, PAGE, & STEPHENS. Some are later found in Wayne Co., NC and in Williamson Co., TN. Following are some Johnston Co., NC records.

Land grants are shown for a Thomas PAGE in 1744 and for Jesse PAGE in 1763.

Deed book mentions David DAVIS' 1768 patent & a 1771 deed from him to Jacob DAVIS. Wit: William DAVIS.

1795 records, David DAVIS & wife Sarah [STOKELY] DAVIS mention their daughter Lovey PAGE of Wayne Co., NC. Lovey married John PAGE. Two of Lovey & John's daughters married STEPHENS brothers: Sarah "Sally" PAGE m Wm. STEPHENS and Elizabeth PAGE m Henry STEPHENS -- in Williamson Co., TN 1809/1810. Other children of Lovey & John PAGE were: Nancy; Milton Harvey; Isaac Stokely; Frederick; Martha "Patsy"; Jacob; John; and David.

Some STEPHENS/STEVENS appearing in early Johnston Co. records are: Henry STEPHENS; William STEPHENS; John STEPHENS; Edmund STEPHENS: Charles STEPHENS; and Benjamin STEPHENS. Any of these related to the STEPHENS brothers mentioned above?

Some PAGE names in early records: Frederick PAGE; John PAGE & wife Elizabeth. Related?

In ref to Jesse Page. Is he the father of John Page and could John possibly have been born abt 1750-57? We have a John Page who took his family to Laurens Dist SC in the late 1700's. He had a wife, Ann/Anna/Hannah ? and their children were: William, Elizabeth, Hannah, John Jr, Frances, James and Jenney/Jane Page. Any of these names familiar to you?

Would love reply even if our families are not connected. I'm trying to prove Jesse Page and JOhn Page are or not our line.
