I am seeking any information pertaining to John S. Clark, born at Bridgewater, NH in 1822. I do not know his actual date of birth nor his parentage. The place of birth is obtained from his son's death record and the date of birth from the 1880 United States Census, National Archives Film T9-0556, Page 397B. They were residing with his father-in-law, John Robins, at Worthley Pond, Peru, Oxford, ME in 1850 per the 1850 census. His name is also given as Clarke according to the Peru, Maine vital records showing the birth of his son, John. According to the 1880 census, they were residing at Harvard, MA and he spelled his name without the e at this time. Listed with him in the census is Lucy, his wife, Polly, his mother-in-law and three children, George, Frank and Lizzie. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
