Hi, I'm looking for the info about my deceased mother in law, Joanne Ruth Bump's family. Her parents' names are Jame E. Bump and Ethel M. (Ames) Bump and also their parents were born and died in Campton, NH. I was told that they were part Indians but I would like to know if it's true or not. Thanks for the input.

James Bump settled in Campton in 1783 early settler
with 7 children I doubt if they were part indian

Here are the facts:
Joanne Ruth Bump was born 10 Oct. 1938. I do not know where. Try NH Vital Records.
Her Father was James Edward Bump b. Campton, NH 19 August 1912.
Her Mother was Rita Muriel Coolbeth b. Newport, VT 9 Feb. 1918.
They both lived and died at Rockville, CT.
There were five children. I know nothing about the children. James I knew and he was my cousin.
His father was my great uncle. His father was Waldo James Bump b. Campton 25 Oct. 1883 and his mother
was Ethel May Ames b. 25 Feb 1893. They both lived and died in Campton.
There is no Indian blood in the Bump line.

Joanne died in Dec.1971, don't know what day. In her first marriage was to James Jackson, Sr. and had 2 kids by him and got divorce and she got remarried to Roger Willette and had a daughter. This is the only information I had from my husband.

My GGG grandmother was a Lois Bump married to Samuel Holmes.
Her father was Elias Bump who was married to Martha Baker.

Lois has a brother, James Elias Bump married to Dorothy Southmayd ... all around Campton NH ...
