John KONICEK married to Zofie KRUTINA abt. 1860 in Bohemia, Czech. Immigrated to Colfax Co. NE abt 1870. Children: John married to 1st: Anna HRUSKA 2nd: Emma HRUSKA, Joseph married to Anna CASTEK, Emil married to Marie TROJAN, Anna.

I am researching the Konicek clan from Tama Co., IA. I think they are related to the Konicek clan from Colfax and Cuming counties, Nebraska. Specifically, I want to find info on Joseph Konicek, father of Stanley Konicek (1897-1979).

My great great grandfather was JOHN KONICEK (b. abt 1834 - Bohemia) and married to SOPHY KONICEK (b. abt 1843 - Bohemia).

They had 3 children SOPHY KONICEK (b. abt 1873 - Nebraska), Amannel KONICEK (b. abt 1868 - Bohemia), and JOHN KONICEK (b. 11/01/1861).

John married Anna and then Emma Hruska (b. abt 1878).

Anna was the mother of the first 3 children: EDWARD (05/17/1888), EMIL b.1890/1891?, and JOHN (b. 1896?). Then Emma had Paul (b. 1898), Maymie (Mayme) b. 1904, and my grandfather Alvin b. 1905.
