Daniel Webster Wyman was b. Dec 1855 in IN, the son of Henry and Mary (Zimmerman) Wyman. He was the youngest of 8 children. He married Elizabeth O'Neill, b 10/17/1863 in IL. Daniel was a stonemason and the family settled in Taney Co., MO. The 1890 census lists them homesteading near Reuter, MO and the 1900 shows them living near Cedar Creek. I'm afraid all I know about them are these facts. Daniel died 2/1/1916--the death certificate says "suicide by freezing while temporarily insane". His son Arthur J Wyman was my GG grandfather. I have the names of his spouse and all their children as well as my direct line if you are interested. If you have any additional information I hope you will share it.

I hope you get this since it has been so long. Jefferson James Robertson was my ggg grandfather. Yes, Evaline (Evy) was his 2nd wife and his daughter Bettie was my gg grandmother. His first wife was Mary Ann Wilson. They were married on 8/8/1854 in Mercer Co., MO. I have her DOB as 4/6/1829 in Smith Co., VA. Their children were: Sarah, John, Louisa, Samuel, Edgar, Charles, Joseph and an unnamed infant. I'm not certain, but I do believe Jefferson J was buried in Taney Co., MO. I'm not sure what else you are looking for, but I am looking for information that confirms that Jefferson's parents were Carter T and Mary (Shrewsbury) Robertson, as well as information on his 2nd wife Evaline. I do not know her maiden name and am therefore stuck. Any information you have to share would be most appreciated.

tuptegrove@embarqmail.com

Hi,

I am also researching the Kissee family that lived in Taney County, MO at that time period.
Nancy Jane Kissee married Jessie Jennings in that area around the 1870's. They were my husbands gr-gr grandparents. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to come up with much info on Jessie Jennings at all. I was hoping you may have some sort of clue, since you are researching the same clan.
In some of my papers I have on the Kissee's it mentions several different Robert Kissee's. I'm not sure which one your interested in.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Gayla

Her maiden name could possibly have been Dummit, although I am not sure. It is possible that they lived in Kissee Mills. I am interested in the history of Kissee Mills, as well. Thanks for any assistance.

Re: Irvin Eldridge BREEDLOVE married Elizabeth SNOW 1850-1853

I love doing my geneology and my husbands. He was a grandson to Margaret Breedlove. Lee said Grandma Breedlove was a little woman and quite a horsewoman.
Irvin and Betsey had three children and she died having a set of stillborn twins, according to one resource. I am trying to be careful and keep up my concrete bibliogarphy as I go. The story I read said she asked her best friend Diana Phillips to raise her children and marry her husband when he got back. (This is legend at this point).
What I do know is that Irvin E. Breedlove was 6 foot, dark eyes and dark hair. It was interesting at one point in the calvery statements it said his hair was light.
He mustered into the 2 Calvery of Arkansas/enlisted May 14,
1864 at BelleFort,Ark. He was born in Warren,NC. He married Betsey between 1847-1855 in Morgan,TN (LDS resources).
He was absent without leave for approx 1 year and returned
in8-20-1865, I wonder if that was due to Betsey dying. He married Diana Phillips and had more children. He and Betsey by the census of 1860, had Mary M.Breedlove, age 6; Martha
J. Breedlove 4; and W.M. Breedlove 2: Her last name was snow. I'm guessing her mother and her children were on the same census. (Let me know if it is correct); Mary Snow 52;
Samuel Snow 6;James Snow 2;John Snow 6 months; Alexander 19;
Solomon Snow 15; Samuel Snow 13; I would love to have the information for my daughter that goes back to the Mayflower. I would also love to have a picture of Margaret and Irvin. I have a picture of Margaret's son Marion. He was dark and a handsome guy. I know that the Breedloves were full blood Cherokee as far as Lee told me.

BREEDLOVE, SNOW. I have a Snow family who came from Tn to Taney Co Mo in the 1850's. My GG grandfather, Irvin Eldridge BREEDLOVE, married Elizabeth SNOW between 1850 and before 1853. I do not know where they were marr. but suspect it could have been Taney co Mo as some of Elizabeth's family was in Taney Co in the 1850's. I am also looking for the family of Irvin Breedlove and I know there were Breedloves in your part of Mo. but have not been able to connect him to one of those families. Any help in this search would be greatly appreciated. I have this Snow family back to the Mayflower and will share with anyone. Thanks
Juanita
Thanks Joyce. I later on found Benjamin in the census record. Just wasn't sure if he died in the Civil War or what happened to him. I had found his widow in the 1880 census with daughter Tabbtha (sic). I'm curious though how you found out his cause of death?

Again, appreciate the info.

There was another son of Malachi, Benjamin (b. ~1837, TN) who was last found in the 1860 Marion Co, ARK census. Do you know what became of him? I wonder if he became a causulty of the Civil War. Any assistance is appreciated. - Robert

I have one source who thinks they were buried in a remote cemetery near the Little Beaver Creek near Bradleyville. One source claims Willis was an expert fiddle player; another source reported he was a riverboat gambler! I do not think they had any children. Any information greatly appreciation.
I am the Great-great Granddaughter of Raleigh O'Neal. I, too,
am searching his and his wife's parents. Also their death dates and where they are buried. As I understand it, William
is Raleigh's brother and Seigle is William's son. Seigle had a Seigle Jr.

Frank Theodore and his wife Lillie Polly O'Neal are my Great-
Grandparents. As the story goes, Lillie "Pollyann" packed up
6 kids (they had 8 - two after the move) and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in the early 19teens because of Frank's drinking and beatings. Frank followed. They got back
together and had two more children. Frank worked as a miner
and I don't have any more information on him. Lillie died July 30, 1940. She is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.

Frank and Lillie had my Grandmother Myrtle Frances Nov 16, 1902 in Taney County, Missouri. She married Arthur Thoedore Maserang Dec 04, 1923. They had one son, my father, Herbert Arthur May 23, 1929. He married Waneta (indian) W. Reck Dec 18, 1949 in Colorado and they had my 4 sisters and me.

I would be grateful if you would contact me and happy to share any information.

Hi Irene,

Have I been looking for YOU! I saw your post on the Taney County, Mo., page. My husband, Mark's great grandfather was Raleigh O'Neal. We know nothing about this family. We drove up to Taney County last Saturday to do research at the Library. We found Raleigh O'Neal on the 1900 Taney County, Mo., census. Their son Frank T. O'Neal b.1865 IL (Mark's grandfather) and his wife Lillie P. b.1883 Mo., & daughter Martha M. b. 1898 Mo., were living in the house with Frank's parents Raleigh O'Neal b.1825 TN & Alice b.1840 England.

Boy, were we glad to see this. We didn't know who Franklin T. "Frank" O'Neal's parents were until we found this. We also notice on the 1900 Taney County census a William O'Neal b.1831 TN with wife Sarah b.1843 IL and daughter Ada E. b.1898 Mo. Is William a brother to Raleigh??

You Mentioned in your post that Seigle NcPherson O'Neal was the son of Raleigh O'Neal b.1828 TN and Martha O'Neal. Is this the same Raleigh? Did Raleigh have any other children. Do you know when Raleigh died and where he and his wife are buried?

Irene anything you can help me with on this family, I will be most grateful! Would love to share info with you!
Looking forward to hearing from you!!
Gwen Rosamond Forrester

Thanks for posting this. I think this was most likely a Union list. I know Eli Sanford, who is on the list, was a Union soldier. My ancestors, Edward W. Wood and his brother, John B. Wood fought for the Confederacy and most likely enlisted across the border in Marion Co AR. Edward and his wife, Mary, divorced over political differences and Mary married Eli Sanford in 1866. They also had a brother, William Wood, who was also believed to have fought for the Confederacy, but I haven't found any information on him.yet The Wood brothers' father, John "Uncle Jacky" Wood was killed by bushwackers during the Civil War and the Wood family moved across the line into Arkansas where they remained for about 15 years before returning to Taney.

I might as well take the time to transcribe the list and post it here. Maybe someone can explain it to me. I don’t find a number of these names on the Soldiers and Sailors database by the National Park Service. Are they Union or Confederate? Is this some kind of militia? It isn’t regular army. The magazine I got this from just presents it as a list with no explanation.

Taney County Soldiers of Civil War, 1865.
"White River Valley Historical Society Quarterly".
Winter 1962-1963.
Page 18.

Taney County Soldiers of Civil War
March - 1865 - September
Order No. 3.
Captain W.
