Hi Irene,

Have I been looking for YOU! I saw your post on the Taney County, Mo., page. My husband, Mark's great grandfather was Raleigh O'Neal. We know nothing about this family. We drove up to Taney County last Saturday to do research at the Library. We found Raleigh O'Neal on the 1900 Taney County, Mo., census. Their son Frank T. O'Neal b.1865 IL (Mark's grandfather) and his wife Lillie P. b.1883 Mo., & daughter Martha M. b. 1898 Mo., were living in the house with Frank's parents Raleigh O'Neal b.1825 TN & Alice b.1840 England.

Boy, were we glad to see this. We didn't know who Franklin T. "Frank" O'Neal's parents were until we found this. We also notice on the 1900 Taney County census a William O'Neal b.1831 TN with wife Sarah b.1843 IL and daughter Ada E. b.1898 Mo. Is William a brother to Raleigh??

You Mentioned in your post that Seigle NcPherson O'Neal was the son of Raleigh O'Neal b.1828 TN and Martha O'Neal. Is this the same Raleigh? Did Raleigh have any other children. Do you know when Raleigh died and where he and his wife are buried?

Irene anything you can help me with on this family, I will be most grateful! Would love to share info with you!
Looking forward to hearing from you!!

I am the Great-great Granddaughter of Raleigh O'Neal. I, too,
am searching his and his wife's parents. Also their death dates and where they are buried. As I understand it, William
is Raleigh's brother and Seigle is William's son. Seigle had a Seigle Jr.

Frank Theodore and his wife Lillie Polly O'Neal are my Great-
Grandparents. As the story goes, Lillie "Pollyann" packed up
6 kids (they had 8 - two after the move) and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in the early 19teens because of Frank's drinking and beatings. Frank followed. They got back
together and had two more children. Frank worked as a miner
and I don't have any more information on him. Lillie died July 30, 1940. She is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.

Frank and Lillie had my Grandmother Myrtle Frances Nov 16, 1902 in Taney County, Missouri. She married Arthur Thoedore Maserang Dec 04, 1923. They had one son, my father, Herbert Arthur May 23, 1929. He married Waneta (indian) W. Reck Dec 18, 1949 in Colorado and they had my 4 sisters and me.

I would be grateful if you would contact me and happy to share any information.
