I am a descendent of William Wren (1842-1897) who lived in Itawamba county Mississippi and his father was Robert S. Wren b.1790s and married Sarah Dykous 16 Sept 1823. His father was Randolf Wren b.abt 1770 and married Martha Jones on 10 Sept 1789 in South Hampton co. Va. Any help back from here would be very greatly appreciated. Charles Justice

Hello Cynthia... If I remember right, you descend Washington Jones Wren>John Binns Wren>Amasa Wren. I found a death notice for Amasa at the Denver Library when I was there a couple years ago.

I descend Washington Jones Wren>George Washington Wren>Ica Mae Wren. None of gpa GW's sons had children, so there are no male Wrens to test in this line.

Our closest common ancestors are Washington Jones Wren and Sophia McAliley Wren. Gpa WJ died of dysentery contracted in service for the Civil War leaving gma Sophia to finish raising 5 children. I have a copy of the Civil War Pension record.
