FREDERICK SCHUMAN HAS PASSED AWAY
Resident of County many years dies at home near Beebe Lake

Frederick SCHUMAN, for many years a resident of Wright County, died at his home near Beebe Lake on Friday, January 5.
Mr Schuman was born in the province of Posen, Poland, October 25, 1850, and came to the United States in 1877. He was married in Cleveland, Ohio, April 28, 1878 to Miss Minnie Luke.
Besides the widow, Mr SCHUMAN is survived by four children, William F. and Max Schumann, Mrs. Henry Kurtz, and Mrs Gustave Frank and three brothers and sisters -- William of Delano, Henry of South Haven, Robert of Delano; Mrs Geroge Dorsch of Wayzeta and Mrs Alvina Forman of Hunronia, Illinois.
Funeral services were held at the home and at St John's Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon being conducted by Rev J N Schaefer. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery.

I am researching Herman Schumann came over in 1877 had a brother named Fred that lived in Lester Prairie, MN, could Herman be a brother of your Fred.

Herman's first name was actually Julius, he had a sister Alvina who came over also. Don't know about a Mathilda. Parents were Gotlieb and Henrietta Stolp

My Schumann's immigrated in 1882. Parents of my Frederick were Johann and Eva Edith (Unknown) Schumann.
They settled in Wright County Minnesota. I actually have a picture of Frederick Schumann 1850 to 1923. His brother Julius was born in 1867, and Alvina born in 1864. Hope this helps. If your Schumann's were in Minnesota at all perhaps they are relations.
German naming pattern.

I am descend from Frederick and Minnie's daughter Alvena who married Henry Kurtz, my great grandparents. Would love to exchange info with you. I have photos too. Where do you fit in??
