I am related to Michael. Some years ago we tried to link James and Michael without success. Have history of Catherine Cramsie/Michael Nolan family from County Carlow to PA to MN. Also same Cramsie/ Haas family in St.Paul. MN in mid late 1800s.

I appreciate your response to my query. I have been working on several Cramsie families and Edward and Ann Cramsie are one of them. Their daughter, Catherine, married Michael Nolan and another Daughter, Jennie, married Henry Haas. I have downloaded info from Rootsweb.com (I think) most of the info on the members of the Haas/Cramsie family, but I am sketchy on details like birth/marriage/death dates and places. Can you help fill in any of this type info? As to Michael and James Nolan, I have compiled the info on both of the families, but again can make no connection between the two. A strong case can be made that they were brothers, but so far nothing conclusive. What I would like to know is if you have any info on Jennie and Catherine's father, Edward Cramsie, b. abt 1802 in Ireland. I believe he is the brother of my GGGrandfather, Archibald Cramsie, but have been unable to make the connection. Do you have anything that might help? Would love to have what you have on the Nolan/Cramsie and Haas/Cramsie families. Can you send a GEDCOM format file or anything like that? Even a PDF file would work. I could reciprocate with what I have if you are interested. Just let me know. You van reach me at my E-mail: bcramsie1@verizon.net Thanks and Take Care!

Will pull up my files in the next weeks and see what I have that is transportable, as they were compiled manyl years ago.
Edward Cramsie was born near Belfast around Antrim, the legend goes no vital records found. The families were territorial pioneers in Minnesota coming from Friendsville area of Pennsylvania. The alternate spelling Cramsey is shown on some census sheets. There is a fine history of Wright County, but it too never mentions the Nolans as brothers? Nice to hear that someone else is working on the mysteries.

Thanks! I look forward to what you may be able to provide. I'm afraid that the only way I will be able to really find out if Edward was a GGUncle of mine (Archibald's brother) is to go to Ireland and research. Again thanks and take care!

Hi,

Sorry, don't know Michael or James but do you know Julia Cramsie, born 1825 in Ireland and died in 1888, Woodland, Wright County, WI? She married Richard Burke. Thanks! Peggy Gloth Seattle.

Not as far as I can tell in my data. Can you tell me anymore about Julia Cramsie? Parents? Siblings? I'll continue looking.
