TAYLOR, MARJORIE E., 97 (obituary)
Marjorie E. Taylor, 97 of Watkins, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca, Minnesota. Rev. Rory Synoground officaited. Interment was in the Borgholm Cemetery in Bock. Minnesota. Casket bearers were Jeff Babbitt, Mike Taylor, Todd Taylor, Brian Taylor, Mark Taylor and Paul Taylor. Arrangements were by the Ertl Funeral Home, Watkins.
Marjorie Taylor was born on February 15, 1912 near Armour, South Dakota. She was the daughter of Edward and Jesse (Andrews) Chandler. On March 31, 1930, Marjorie was united in marriage to Walter Taylor at Bock, Minnesota. They resided at Bock until the early 1950’s when they moved to St. Paul. In 1982, they moved to Watkins. Walter passed away in August 1985. Marjorie became a resident at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins about a year and a half ago. Her hobbies included growing African Violets and she enjoyed playing cards with her family and watching games shows on television.
Marjorie is survived by her children and their spouses, Glenn and Joyce Taylor of Middle River, MN, Virgil Taylor of Finlayson, MN, Roger and Jeane Taylor of Darwin, MN; 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; son, Robert; granddaughter, Holli Luedthe and daughter-in-law, Marjorie Taylor.
