I recently copied the marriage for Philip P. Penfold to Gertrude DeLile. Philip P. Penfold's parents were Peter Penfold and Sarah Iles. I know this line fairly well. Peter Penfold is my 2 ggfather. The brides parents are listed as -- DeLile and mother, not known. Sarah Iles is the groom's mother.

I believe this was a 2nd marriage for Philip P. Penfold, son of Peter and that he married first, Anna M. Wheeler, April 29, 1896. He married again to Gertrude DeLile, August 20, 1910.

Hope this helps.

Are Simeon Hurd & Annis/Eunis Kidder the parents of Barry County Hurds?

Who are the parents of Ann/Amy Hurd, b abt 1812 in N. Y.? Ann married Seneca Tobey, (son of Levi Tobey). Levi Tobey is listed in Caton, Steuben CO, N. Y. in 1830.
Seneca & Ann moved to Barry CO, MI between 1856 & 1858. I find them living in a cluster of Hurds, Kidders, and Tobey's in the 1860 Barry Co, MI Census.
Based on the "cluster" theory and other data I think Ann and the other Hurds living in Barry CO, MI might be the children of Simeon Hurd and Annis/Eunice Kidder?
Can anyone confirm this?
Cindy L (Skiles) Frie

Quite possibly you have all of the following information and as well have already pursued the site mentioned earlier http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?...
Nevertheless, few quick searches brought up several interesting ties to the persons you have mentioned. I'm not able to attach a document file of the print screens so for what it's worth will e-mail it to your e-mail address.
i.e., Anna, daughter of Emma Young Aitken Delile Willis, seems to be listed as Anna Aitken.
A separate marriage record shows Harry DeLile m. to Emma Young Aiken, 1880. See below:

Groom's name: Harry A. Delile
Groom's race or color (on document):
Groom's age: 30 years
Groom's birth year: 1850
Groom's birthplace: Lyons, France, Europe
Bride's name: Emma Young Aikin
Bride's race or color (on document):
Bride's age: 24 years
Bride's birth year: 1856
Bride's birthplace: Eaton Rapids
Marriage type:
Marriage date: 01 May 1880
Marriage place: Eaton Rapids, Eaton, Michigan
Groom's father's name:
Groom's mother's name:
Father of bride's name:
Mother of bride's name:
Marital status:
Groom's previous wife's name:
Bride's marital status:
Bride's previous husband's name:
Additional relatives:
Film number: 2342466
Frame number:
Digital GS number: 4207610
Image number: 421
Reference number: v 1 p 257 rn 129
Collection: Michigan Marriages 1868-1925

Another record: Emma's marriage to Robert Willis, 1890.
Another search: Anna Aiken's, listed as born 1873, marriage 1891 to Chas. Hickox. Anna's parents listed: Father as Aiken & Mother as Emma Young.

Additional records show Gertrude's parents as Harry DeLile and Emma....., etc.
