Looking for information on Gertrude Penfold. She died 1946.
I am trying to find out who her parents were.

I don't believe my last post went through, but I think if you go to the search.labs.familysearch.org site below you will find Philip P. Penfold and Gertrude DeLile; You can view the actual marriage record which shows parents as Sarah Iles (?)and father as DeLile, apparently misspelling on the mother ? and no first name given for the father. See additional info which I e-mailed directly.

Looks like if you contact the Barry Co. Clerk you can get Gertrude's death certificate. This being Robert W. & Emma Willis' grand daughter you should know which daughter of their's is Gertrudes mother "LOL". I looked all over for a Delile in that area but no luck.

What is so weird about this family is in 1900 census Gertrude was listed as grand-daughter. However, it shows her father as Delile. I think her mother was Anna Delile, but I don't know who her father was. Anna is the daughter of Emma Young-Delile-Willis. I think Anna had this child very young and Emma adopted her. I guess I will have to get that death certificate. Maybe I will get my answer. Thank you for your help.

I recently copied the marriage for Philip P. Penfold to Gertrude DeLile. Philip P. Penfold's parents were Peter Penfold and Sarah Iles. I know this line fairly well. Peter Penfold is my 2 ggfather. The brides parents are listed as -- DeLile and mother, not known. Sarah Iles is the groom's mother.

I believe this was a 2nd marriage for Philip P. Penfold, son of Peter and that he married first, Anna M. Wheeler, April 29, 1896. He married again to Gertrude DeLile, August 20, 1910.

Is there any chance you know anything about Gertrude's grandmother Emma Young Willis? Emma raised Gertrude. Emma was married to my great grandfather Robert Willis.
