Hello,
I am a descendant of Henry Holland Bayne. In my Wright Family Bible was a handwritten genealogy of the descendants of Henry. No dates, just names. Henry Holland Bayne married Sophia Duvall. Their children were Susan, Martha "Patsy", John, Rebecca, Priscilla, Jemima (Gemima), Mary, William, and Samuel Duvall. I descend from Samuel Duvall. I have more information about Samuel Duvall's descendants and if you want more, contact me at taichi@rockisland.com

Thank you, I am very interested in any information you may have. Our lineage is of Henry Holland and Sophia's son, John Bayne, Sr. who married Charity Turner in Adams/Brown Co. Ohio circa 1815. They moved to Switzerland Co, IN and reared a large family there.

Hello,
Can you give me some information concerning the marriage of Samuel Duvall Bayne? My family Bible says Samuel was married to Eleanor West on 24 Dec. 1807, but the Duvall family disputes this.

Hi, my name is Christena Lee (Bayne) Long. I am a decendent of John L Bayne b 2/1835 in Kentucky. I am digging to find his parents and came across Henry H Bayne in Washington county Kentucky on the 1820 census. Now, my John L Bayne has a son named Henry H, so naturally I am trying to make the connection. Can you forward any info?
Thanks so much,
Chris Long

I can't make a direct connection to your line of Baynes. If you can trace your Bayne line to Maryland in the early 18th Cent., then the probabilities are that we share a common ancestor. I have a Henry Holland Bayne (b. 1755 in Prince George, MD) from whom I descend. Henry Holland Bayne (m. Sophia Duvall) came to Adams Co., OH probably abt 1800. I'm not sure if he came to OH via KY or PA. His son, Samuel Duvall Bayne (m. Eleanor West) is my GGG Grandfather. His daugther, Malinda Bayne married my GG grandfather, James Wright. I have a host of Bayne names that descend from Henry Holland Bayne, but I don't find a John L. Bayne. Sorry I cant' seem to help much.
