Carrie Creech TAYLOR, age 102, passed away on August 23, 2009 at Golden Years Health Care. She was born on June 22, 1907 in Ernestville, KY, the daughter of the late Tilford and Cynthia Ellen (Gabbard) Creech. In Covington, KY on August 23, 1925, Carrie married her husband of over 61 years, James Penn TAYLOR, and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1987. She was a sorter at Champion Papers from 1943-1972. Carrie was a member of the Darrtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and had a great love for cats. Carrie is survived by her two children, Raymond (Martha) TAYLOR and Cynthia A. (Arthur C.) Downey, all of HAMILTON, OH; two grandchildren Ray (Linda) TAYLOR of Rising Sun, IN and Randy (Linda) TAYLOR of Lewisburg, OH; three step-grandchildren, Calvin Tipton of Greensburg, IN, Carl E. (Barbara) Downey of HAMILTON, and James A. (Doris) Downey of Coarsegold, CA and many loving nieces and nephews. Carrie was also preceded in death by one sister Hazel Bowman and four brothers, Roy, Orville, Ralph and Dale Creech. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, HAMILTON, at 11am on August 26, 2009, with Rev. Hobart Brandenburg and Rev. Paul Tillett officiating. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery. Family and friends will be received prior to the service from 9:30am to 11am at the funeral home.
