You may know this by now but I'll post anyway.

page 26; Oct 19, 1899-At a dance near Barnes Hill, 4 miles from Irvine last Thursday, DURRED(should be Deward/Dewart) NORTON shot 4 people: brothers JAMES and JOHN FOX, JOHN HOOVER, and Mrs. Joe STEMPER (should be Stamper). The shooting was the result of an old grudge.
