I also am a descendant of Robert Rash who died in Keokuk County in 1880 and his son Melvin Levi. I am not aware of a son named Emanuel, so I am not sure we are from the same line but would like to hear more from you.

I'm also a descendant of Robert Rash and Seletha Bryant. The 1860 census shows William Watson Rash living with Robert and Seletha and there is also a William Watson, aged 2, living with them. I'm interested in learning the importance of the Watson name. My line comes down thru Robert's daughter Nancy who married Oliver Lundin. They had a son, Samuel Watson Lundin, my great grandfather. Do you know how the Watson name came into the family?
Thanks,
Marty
