I am researching the Maxwell family. Joseph Maxwell was my great great great grandfather. His son was James Monroe Maxwell. James was born in Ill but was 3 years old in 1950 when the census report shows him in Dana Indiana. Any info on this family would be helpful. We are somehow connected to General Maxwell who served with General Washington. We know that Joseph was born in PA. Thanks. Sue

I've been looking for family members for a few years now and can't seem to get no place at all with the Bush's, just was wanting to know if you were the same Bush family? My mother's mother passed away at 46 when my mom was just 15. Mom don't know much about her mothers family that being the Bush side. So far what I told you is all I know so far. I am interested in both your FOREMAN family and HOLLINGSWORTH family. When were they in the county? Where were they from?

The Hollingsworths were in Vermillion County before 1830, and came from Ohio. The Foremans were in Vermillion County before 1840 and also came from Ohio. My interests in these names is primary due to the intermarriages with my Bush family tree.

Thank-you. My Foreman family came to Knox County, Indiana from Washington County,Pennsylvania by 1802. The Hollingsworth connection was Racheal Hollingsworth, d/o Isaac who married Jonathan Martin around 1852 in Paris, Illinois. They lived in Coles County, Illinois.Isaac died young and the mother married a QUAIL.Theymay have been Quakers. Does the Hollingworth fit in your family?

No, I don't see a match. There is, however, a very active Hollingsworth surname thread that I suggest you review.
