My
Skeeters lineage goes through
Parke County, IN. My ggg grandfather James
Skeeters was in the county in the 1830, 1840, and 1850 census. A David
Skeeters, of the same generation, was there also. In the 1860 census, David and James were in
Iroquois county Illinois, as were David, DP, Joseph and my gg grandfather
Willis Skeeters.
I found the picture of the 1902
Parke County Skeeters reunion and I truly believe a picture of my g grandfather William
Skeeters looks so much like the mustachioed gentlemen in the picture.
Any information we can exchange would be great!! I have been to
Iroquois county and have pictures of the cemetery where James was buried. I have very little information before the 1830 census other than James served in the War of 1812 and was born in
Kentucky.
