Thank you for your reply. Did they have children? I believe Nancy Hunter went on to marry a Moses Chadd on 03 FEB 1835, Daviess Co, IN, then a John Gray in 1850 in IN. Do you have any inforation on this? My line is Chadd and I'm trying to determine how Moses fits in that picture.

I do not have a Moses. Is it possible you have the wrong Nancy Hunter? Benjamin Jordan died in 1880, Nancy Hunter died in 1885. They had 10 children, 2 of which died at birth. The information I have was compiled in 1950 by Benjamin and Nancy's grandson. He remembered visiting his grandparents as a child. He also claims that Benjamin and Nancy's farm remained theirs until their death and then came under the possession of their son Benjamin James Jordan.

Yes it is possible and I will check further and document anything I find. Do you show that Benjamin b. 1790 died 1880 son of John David & Eva Margaret Bruner Jordan also married a Catherine Doll 26 MAY 1823 in Corydon, Harrison Co IN.

Yes, that is what I have for Benjamin Jordan. Except his birth is off, I have his birth being Aug. 25, 1796.

Patrick Hunter and Nancy Jack are my gggg-grandparents. Someone shared with me photos of their grave markers where they are buried in the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church Cemetery. I am looking for a photo of the gate or entrance of the Rehoboth Cemetery which, hopefully, will include its name. Also, considering the age of the cemetery, it must have a historical marker.

My line comes through their son William down to my maternal grandmother; i.e. William Hunter > John Anderson Hunter > Elsie Ann Hunter Portlock > Ethel Jane Portlock Charlton > Anna Mae Charlton Stephens > Etta Stephens Withers (me). Can you share the names and dates of the other children of Patrick and Nancy's?

Thank you very kindly for anything you can share.

Etta

Etta,

My interest is a Nancy Hunter who married a Moses Chadd 03 FEB 1835 in Daviess County, IN.

My research has been online and a marriage index from that county. I found where Benjamin Jordon b. Aug 1796 and d. Oct 1880 married first a Catherine Doll May 1823 in Corydon, Harrison Co, IN, then secondly married a Nancy Hunter b. AUG 1803 near Laconia, Harrison Co, IN, and died Oct 1885, on APR 1825 in Harrison Co IN.

Replies to this message seem to think this information is incorrect and I have no further proof as yet. Benjamin Jordan (1796) and a brother Lewis Jordan ( b 1792) who married Elizabeth Gensen b 1796) settled in 1820 3 miles south of Corydon. Someone said Col Lewis Jordan lead the Home Guards against General Morgan in the Battle of Corydon.

I have noting more to share as yet.

Cheers

The information I have was compiled by a descendent of Nancy HUNTER and Benjamin JORDAN, in 1951. In his notes regarding Patrick HUNTER he states, "I have also found descrepancies in the dates of some others in the family but have relied upon the dates and ages as given on the tombstones as being correct." I have not confirmed much of the information yet. If errors are found, I would appreciate any corrections.

For Patrick HUNTER and Nancy JACK, I have the following children.
