In Daviess Co, IN, my grandfather Homer Thomas RANEY (1883-1944) had a brother, Francis Eugene (Frank) RANEY (1873-1940) who was married to Ruth Eileen (Nellie) GOOTEE (1875-1970). Nellie's father was Joseph Silas GOOTEE, his grandfather was Thomas Nesbe GOOTEE, who platted and named Loogootee, IN. Nellie's mother was Margaret Anastacia (Maggie) MCGOVERN. Nellie's great-grandfather was Joseph RINEY. Frank and Nellie had 8 children. Frank and Homer Thomas RANEY's father, John Allen RANEY had a sister Johanna (Minnie) RANEY who m. Charles M. GOOTEE, one of their sons that I know of, was Marion GOOTEE(1885-1932) in Martin Co, IN. m. Alice TIERNAN. They had 3 daughters. I'm interested in more info on GOOTEE and RANEY (RINEY, RAINEY) family.

Children were: Delmar (said to have moved to Vincennes), Emma (married name BUTCHER), Myrtle(married name SCHOLL),Anna (married Fred KIRCHNER),Leona (married name OWENS), Eldena (married William B. YEAGER)
