Surnames: SABIN, HOWARD, VAUGHN, JONES, ADAMS, CAGWIN, SMITH
My Sylvanus SABIN family moved to Naperville, DuPage Co, prior to 1834 from NY...originally from New England.Except for my gg-grandfather, Albert S. Sabin, all of the children were girls, so there are a lot of surnames. Would love to find any descendants:

Alira SABIN, b. 1812; m. Hezekiah SMITH, Jan. 1, 1834 in DuPage Co.

Martha SABIN, b. 1814; m. Alexander Hamilton HOWARD, Feb. 7, 1833 in Genesee Co, NY. He was the first Post Master of Naperville.

Lucy SABIN, b. 1818; m. Adial JONES

Statira SABIN, b. 1824; m. Hamden A. CAGWIN, Oct. 20, 1842 in DuPage Co.

Mary SABIN, b. 1826; m. Cyrus ADAMS, Nov. 28, 1849 in DuPage Co.

Caroline SABIN, b. 1829; m. Silas O. VAUGHN, Sept. 11, 1850, DuPage Co. Their children were: Edward Vaughn, b. July 29, 1854; William; Albert S., b. 1861; Julia, b. 1865.

ALSO: Walter SABIN, nephew of Sylvanus SABIN, lived in Glen Ellyn, m.Margaret Rhodes.

Hi,

Martha Sabin's daughter Julia Howard's son, Sherman Bowen,was my great-grandfather. His daughter, Laura Bowen was my grandmaother. Her daughter, Jane Garrett is my mother.

I am Nancy Lorene Peachee Lombardi.

If you'd like more detail, I'd be happy to provide what I know.

I read your post and I remembered seeing the name Hamden A. Cagwin while I was reading the History of Will County from 1878 (my current research reading). So I went back and found it. Don't know if this will help you, but sometimes it just takes that little clue.

He is listed in a biography about his father Abijah Cagwin on page 668, in Joliet Township, Will County.
